PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE—Teams and Themes
For 2011, your chapter is increasing its focus on interest teams. Did you see the interest tables at recent meetings? Expect to see more ways to connect with people, information, and activities surrounding your interests via teams. A list of our teams is in this newsletter.
Finding themes to unite the varied interests of our members can be a challenge; but we think we have found one. Bob Allen is suggesting a Big Plant Year for Orange County and surrounding regions. What is it? Read his article to find out. This theme ties together interests from the Science, Conservation, and Explore teams and will bring us together with adjoining chapters. Very neat.
Next on the agenda is finding a Horticulture team theme for the year. We have a very capable chapter, so I know a valuable theme will sprout soon.
